The Deacons' Ministry is called to be the servants of the church and
Godly leaders of the congregation. The ministry is guided by the
qualifications that Paul laid out in
1 Timothy 3:8-13
and
Acts 6:1-8.
As servants of the church, the Deacons carry out the duties and the
responsibilities that will support its members and ministries.
It is responsible for visiting and caring for the sick, needy and
distressed members of the church. The ministry also assists the Pastor
in promoting the spiritual welfare of the church and observing the
ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
The Deaconesses' Ministry mission is share the Gospel of Jesus Christ - exhorting the love of Christ throughout the church body and the world. Its focus will be encouraging Christian maturity while attending the needs of the people. They believe that God reveals himself and accomplishes his purpose of good through and by the means of believers.
The ministry also assists the Pastor in developing the spiritual life of the women and young ladies of the church for Christian service. It collaborates with the Pastor and the Deacons' Ministry in visiting and caring for the sick, needy and distressed members of the church.
The Health Ministry is committed treating each individual in a holistic manner dealing with the body and soul as God sees them. It strives to empower the community starting with the church family by offering information regarding healthy choices through health screenings and seminars. The ministry is committed to be available to those requiring support through prayer for spiritual and physical healing as God sees fit.
The Hospitality Ministry is responsible for the promotion of fellowship within the church. It is also charged to care for and welcome new members and visitors to the church.
The married couple’s ministry mission is to edify the body of
Christ by having a God fearing marriage according to
Genesis 2:24
and
Ephesians 5:21-6:4.
We will allow our light to shine with each other, among our
church and in our community by nurturing our marriage with love,
respect and commitment. We will be active in our local church
by engaging in various activities to promote, support and
encourage each other. We will be involved in the community
through an outreach ministry to promote stronger family units.
The Media Ministry takes a vital role in the outreach and communication of the message of Christ at New Pilgrim Baptist Church. The message must be communicated with excellence in many areas of media. The Media Ministry has multiple areas that all play in a vital part in proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ. Its goal is to assist the Pastor and other ministry leaders in effectively communicating God's message of love and hope to the world.
The Missionary Ministry is called to reach lost souls for Christ, in the church and in the community. Its primary mission is to work actively in the outreach program of the church to provide aide and support to the sick, needy, elderly and the distressed through sisterly and brotherly prayers and visitations in homes, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and institutions. The ministry also believes that part of its mission should be to raise funds to provide monetary donations, food, clothing and other goods that will ease the distress of the less fortunate church and community members.
The Music Ministry serves to guide the flow of worship, both spiritually and musically while embracing and acknowledging the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Sunday School Ministry is the educational branch of the church. It is responsible for facilitating the intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth of those who have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
Sunday School is an opportunity for everyone from children to adults to learn of and share the Word of God in a small group setting. Spiritual growth, discipleship, fellowship, worship and evangelism are encouraged by talking with other believers.
Activities such as Vacation Bible School, Harvest Festival and Bible quizzes are also offered to further Christian education.
The Trustees' Ministry is responsible for all property belonging to the church. It is committed to taking all necessary measures for its protection, management and upkeep.
The Transportation Ministry provides rides to members and community residents in need of transportation to church services and events.

The goal of the Young Adult's Ministry is to reach a social group
often overlooked in the church. It seeks to challenge young people
aged 18 to 35 years to stand apart from the rest of the world in
their commitment to Jesus Christ (
Romans 1:16; 18-19
and
Revelations 3:15-16
).
The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to develop a strong foundation in Christ in the lives of our youth, help them understand and interpret the Bible, teach them to effectively reach their friends for Christ and incorporate them in to the life of the Church through: weekly Bible study, special activities and ministry outreach in the community.
