Reverend Michael Greer is a native of Taylors, South Carolina. He is the son of Roger and Catherine Greer and is the eighth of ten children.

Rev. Greer studied at Greenville Technical College, Southern Wesleyan University, and received a Diploma in Theology from the N.J. Brockman School of Religion an extension of American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee.

In 2005, Rev. Greer answered God's call into the gospel ministry and was licensed by the Aiken Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Rev. W.O. Harrison Sr. During his time at Aiken Chapel, he served as Young Adult President, Sunday School Teacher, Transportation Van Ministry, Usher, Trustee, and President of Church Outreach Ministry and as an Associate Minister.

Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Michael Greer is passionate about community outreach, He served as a board member with the Taylors Free Medical Clinic for six years which he and others helped organize and bring into existence. He volunteered his time for over twenty years with the Greenville Rescue Mission serving in the kitchen and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus during worship service. Rev. Greers served as a board member with the Center for Community Service in Simpsonville, SC helping those who needed the most.

In May of 2008, Rev. Greer was called to Pastor New Pilgrim Baptist of Simpsonville where he continues to serve. Under his leadership, the church continues to grow spiritually and physically through the word of God. Under his leadership and vision, the church started the Nehemiah Project which is an offering given to fund special projects. The Nehemiah Project has allowed the church to pay off a new van, pave the church parking lot, and help pay off the rental property. Wednesday night Bible Study attendance increased with meals offered twice a month. The church established a Director of Music Ministry to help enhance the worship experience. The Young Adults' ministry and choir were created.

Reverend Greer is affiliated with the Enoree River Baptist Association. He served as President of the Congress of Christian Education and is presently serving as the Congress of Christian Education Assistant Treasurer.

Rev. Greer is married to Vickie Greer and they have been blessed with three children, Alexis, Ashlyn(Kevis), and Austin (Marcia), and two grandchildren, Markevis and Maddux.
